The following introduction to filling a virtual trade fair stand provides a general overview of available functions and their possible uses. A detailed step-by-step guide can be found HERE.
A virtual exhibition stand essentially consists of two components:
- background graphic
- Widgets
Widgets are used to provide and display media contact information and interactions with the visitor
Before you start setting up the stand, it is advisable to plan where on the background graphic which information (media) should be provided for visitors. These media are positioned on the graphic via so-called "widgets".
The background graphic of a virtual trade fair stand is an image (formats: JPG, PNG or GIF) in the dimensions:
Width 3000 px (optional: 1920) x height 1136px. The widgets can be positioned on the middle area of the background graphic with the width 1920px x height 1136px.
For example, to play a video at the position of the monitor on the above background graphic, a video widget is positioned. Different widget types are available for the display of videos. A video previously uploaded in the "Media" menu is assigned to the widget. If, for example, a document (pdf) is to be made available for download at another position on the background graphic, the corresponding widget "Download" is selected and the pdf previously uploaded in the menu "Media" is assigned to this widget.
This means that different media and functions can be provided at any point in the graphic via the widgets. The following graphic outlines where in our example different widgets should be positioned.
Since each widget is always assigned a medium or information, it is advisable to upload all required media and information via the "Media" menu before starting to position the widgets.
