Visitor groups - the logic

Visitor groups can be defined completely flexibly and individually. As a rule, no rigid groups are formed in which visitors are sorted; rather, the groups are created automatically based on their profile data.

If a visitor profile fulfills one or more indicators, access is granted or denied according to the indicator. In expo-IP, the permissions are configured via the filter rules for the halls. Via the custom fields (extended registration), access can be controlled flexibly and individually and thus visitor groups in areas can be included or excluded.

If you want to configure groups in advance and later control the filters based on the group identifiers, you should configure a custom field "Group", for example. The filters will then be set based on the value of this field.

Example 1: If the filter is set to field "Group" with content "1", only members of group 1 will get access.

Example 2: The access to a certain area should depend on the customer number. Thus, a custom field "Customer number" is configured. Znly the visitor whose customer number contains the value "K" for vendor is granted access.
